As you've noticed, we're back for the fall! But not in full force. It seems as though full force might mean eleven people. We expect to be missing four of our choir members from last year.
Naturally, this is a major blow. What will we do about it? Well, we've all agreed to do the best we can with the present group while continuing to encourage new people to join us.
For a choir to perform best, it requires a balance of four parts. Right now we need support for our alto section and it would be wonderful for Roy to have company as he faithfully sings tenor on his own.
There MUST be people in our congregation who like to sing and can commit two hours of time to choir rehearsal on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 pm.
Gerry always comes prepared and leads us through a great rehearsal. The time passes quickly as we learn and prepare selections for upcoming services.
I feel certain that once you start attending, you won't want to miss as it's a truly pleasant and satisfying experience.
We are optimistic and feel sure that good things will happen. In the meantime, if anyone can even give us a name to call, please do so.
Thanks in advance, and enjoy the fall at Stairs.
